ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THIS VISA
1- Nomination by the Government:
In order to apply for this visa, you must be nominated by the Austrade.
2- EOI
You must submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to Austrade.
3- Investment
Once your application is submitted, you must make investment of at least AUD15 million in any of the following options
- Assets listed on Australian Security Exchange
- Government or semi-government bonds or notes
- corporate bonds or notes issued by an Australian exchange listed entity
- Proprietary companies earning profits but excluding speculative business.
- Real property but not including residential property
- Deferred annuities of Australian registered life companies
- Approved philanthropic contribution for state or territory government
- To be an eligible fund, a further requirement is that cash is to be no more than 20% of a fund’s net assets and derivatives are to be used for risk management purposes only.
4- Other main factors
The department will also examine your certain aspects such as your English Language skills, health and character history etc.
