This is a provisional visa and it allows you to stay in Australia for approximately 4 years.
It is suited for innovative individuals who intend to utilize their entrepreneurial skills to initiate a new business or operate a running business, if nominated by the Australian government. It also provides the opportunity to apply for Permanent residency after 4 years if you meet the required criteria.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THIS VISA 188 Australia
1- Nomination by the Government:
In order to apply for this visa, you must be nominated by the Australian Government.
2- Business Ownership:
Before you are invited to apply for this visa, you must have had ownership in 1 or 2 businesses with minimum turnover of AUD 750,000 for 2 out of 4 fiscal years.
3- Personal and Business Assets:
After you are invited, the net assets of you and/or your partner must be minimum AUD 1.25 million which must be transferred to Australia within 2 years of awarding of visa.
4- Score of 65 Points or above
You need to score at least 65 points and you can receive point for the following categories.

- English language ability
- Qualifications
- Business experience
- Net personal and Business assets
- Business turnover
- Innovation
- Special endorsement
5- Have a successful business career
You need to have a strong desire and a successful career to continuously own and manage a business in Australia.
6- Be under 55
You must be under 55 at the time of the invitation to apply for the visa.
7- Other main factors
The department will also examine your certain aspects such as your English Language skills, health and character history etc.
